Bensimon is a family story!

In France back in 1980, Serge and Yves Bensimon founded Surplus Bensimon, a line inspired by uniforms and work clothes they brought back from their travels around the world. they customized each piece to make it their own.

But this concept of redesigning vintage to blend the old with the new has is original roots at the end of World War II, when Serge and Yves Bensimon's grandfather started a business in importing American second hand clothing to France.

In 1984, the first Bensimon collection, a line for men and women inspired by military and travel, was introduced. with its safari jacket, jodhpur, and zip pullover, the line was a hit, but the true symbol of this success story was the la tennis bensimon collection.

The fashion community in France immediately adopted la tennis bensimon as a simple yet chic shoe, capturing the essence of Parisan style spot on. the shoe naturally became a staple in the Parisian wardrobe. and over the last 25 years, Bensimon has evolved into an iconic shoe in France.

Bensimon is known for its four basic styles that are available in an array of different colors each season for infants, toddlers, women and men. along with the basics, a new set of limited editions are released as well.
