The moniker 'ballet flat' is often carelessly used as a blanket term for everything from driving shoes to pointy-toed slip-ons. Demonstrating the proper use of this label is Maloles' 'Zoe', which definitely deserves to be dubbed 'ballet'. With its silky leather upper, softly rounded toe, and gently pleated vamp, the 'Zoe' brings back a little Baryshnikov to the basic flat.
